G

ranite Colors

Selecting the right granite color is one of the most significant decisions in the monument design process, defining the overarching character, emotional tone, and visual impact of your family’s memorial. Granite is a magnificent natural stone forged deep within the earth over millions of years, resulting in rich mineral variations, shimmering crystal structures, and vibrant hues that cannot be replicated.

Key Factors for Selection

  • Visibility & Contrast: Light grays and white granites require darker lettering or painting for visibility. Dark stones are often paired with white-painted lettering for high contrast.

  • Maintenance: Darker colors (Black, Mahogany) tend to show pollen and water spots more, requiring more regular maintenance, while lighter grays excel at hiding dust.

  • Customization: Laser etching is only compatible with solid black granite, while traditional carving works on all types.

  • Origin: Colors can be sourced from North America, India, Europe, and China, with some rare colors having higher costs.

Note: Granite is a natural product; color variations are normal and unique to every stone...
